Children and Horse Riding Lessons: Where to Start?
To see horse on the road is always an unexpected little holiday for the child. The graceful animal loudly clicks its hooves and attracts the attention not only of children, but also of adults. Boys and girls eagerly dance, waiting for them to finally get into the real saddle, pick up the reins and shout: “But!” If everything you read is written about your child, he is a true horse lover. Why not let them learn about the sport of Equestrian!
What is Horse Riding?
Once in the stable or arena for classes, you will certainly be fascinated by these elegant animals, and especially fascinating is the sight, how a ten-year-old child is managed with a five hundred-kilogram horse. It is at this age that equestrian clubs and children’s sports schools are offering serious classes. Age qualification is not accidental, because a horse is a big and powerful animal. If she feels that the rider does not control her mentally, then she will not obey.
Horse riding is not only the perfect mechanics of the movements of a single organism – a horse and rider, but also a great physical load, and moral responsibility. Of course, from the first time one in the saddle of a child no one will leave, first classes are held with a cord (a long reason with which the coach controls the horse), then the young rider learns gaits and only then leaves the arena independently. If you are still not at ease from the thought that your child is jumping at an altitude of about one and a half meters, then you can start with a pony club. Here, by the way, the age bracket is much lower – 4-5 years.
Why Should your Children Learn to Ride?
Modern children spend a lot of time at the school desk, at home at the desk or laptop, and as a result posture suffers. Horseback riding helps a lot in solving this problem. Sitting on a horse, it’s just impossible to slouch, and regular classes will help the child to get used to sitting properly. Another weighty argument in favour of equestrian sports is the opportunity to help the child to be liberated, to become more confident. For any child to manage a 500KG animal is quite impressive.
